Privacy Policy

TradeLink Local collects only the information needed to operate our construction marketplace, provide memberships, and protect members.

Information we collect

We may receive your name and email when you sign in, along with profile information, trade, service area, availability, job posts, applications, reviews, and messages you choose to submit.

Private crew workspaces

Company workspaces store employee names and sign-in emails, project addresses and homeowner or client names, project instructions and files, clock-in and clock-out times, breaks, hourly rates, and timecard correction and approval history. Company owners can access their company records and payroll exports. Employees can access their own timecards and assigned projects. Authorized foremen can access company crew attendance and projects, but hourly rates, wage estimates, and payroll exports are restricted to the company owner. Employees can create a TradeLink-only password using an employer-issued setup link. We store salted password hashes and hashed session tokens to authenticate those employees; their browser receives a secure session cookie. Remembered member and employee sign-ins use secure cookies that expire after 30 days without renewal; using the app renews active sessions. Signing out ends the device session. Workspace records are separate from public marketplace profiles. Employers are responsible for providing appropriate employee notices and reviewing timekeeping and payroll records.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. TradeLink Local does not store full payment-card numbers. Stripe may collect payment, identity, fraud-prevention, and billing information under its own privacy terms.

How we use information

• Operate memberships, profiles, job listings, chat rooms, and direct messages.
• Match contractors and subcontractors and provide support.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
• Meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.

Sharing and retention

We share information with service providers only as needed to run the platform, such as authentication, hosting, payment processing, and email. We do not sell personal information. Marketplace profile details and posts may be visible to other signed-in members. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes and legal obligations.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by emailing support@tradelinklocal.com. Some records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, payment disputes, or law.

Security and changes

We use technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the new effective date here.
